Critical thinking is the rational examination and analysis of available information that leads to the formulation of conclusions and alternatives that are the most appropriate for the situation and it is an essential part of the nursing process.

This program will demonstrate how critical thinking skills are applied to clinical practice through the use of 12 vignettes that follow a nursing student and her colleagues as they care for a chronically ill patient.
